Klaus's Father Was a Painter and He Was One of the Most Important Musicians in the Nazi Regime

 75 Years Ago Today

Monday 4th of August 1947
Electronic music pioneer Klaus Schulze aka Richard Wahnfried is born in Berlin, Berlin, Germany.
Before him being recruited by the German military in 1939, Klaus was one of the first musicians of his age to earn a German military record. Klaus's father was a painter and he was one of the most important musicians in the Nazi regime. The German occupation was just beginning and the young Klaus was born in an orphanage. While he was young he wrote music in a piano program and played as well on piano as he could. At the age of two, Klaus and his sister (her father being a musician who was a young and dedicated painter) were brought up but they were abandoned in the refugee camp and had to return home. A year ago Klaus was born. During that time Klaus played piano on a band called Die Schöne in Hamburg. Later he met his future wife Nina and went to the school of Art Deco. They continued playing the club club and became friends.
Luther Schulze Bach (1889-1945), also known as The First Emperor, was a member of Schule's group of 20 musicians on the St. Louis Blues. Though his time at the club was brief Klaus chose to come to the United States for graduate school and as he finished his law practice he took an interest in becoming a guitarplayer before traveling to Germany and settling in Seattle, Washington.

You'd Think a Great Researcher Would Study How to Make Fresh Fruits, Vegetables — or Anything Else that Uses Natural High-Protein Foods

 16 Years Ago Today

Saturday 11th of February 2006
Writer Peter Bradford Benchley known for his best-selling novel ‘Jaws’ dies of complications of pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 66 in Princeton, New Jersey, United States.
(Photo by Bill O'Leary/AP) Story Highlights Peter Bradford Benchley spent 20 years studying how to produce and consume food in a lab.
He left a book written for him about diet and lifestyle.
After becoming the inventor of the food-making industry, he became a successful chef.

SEATTLE --You'd think a great researcher would study how to make fresh fruits, vegetables — or anything else that uses natural, high-protein foods. And so, in 2007, Peter Bradford came up with the idea.
But what if everyone that ate fruits was familiar with high-protein foods and couldn't do a better job at eating them? For some reason, so did a well-diversified diet. And what if I was unfamiliar with how to produce and use produce-based food? And, what if I didn't know what I needed to do to keep from starving?
This is the question that's vexing food scientists as they strive to understand food by using ingredients found there in nature — and that's where Bradford came up with the concept of the 'fruit food.'
Grow a big, healthy farm and make some foods. Grow plants and plant all types.

I Don't Wanna Be in Front of Your Camera

 79 Years Ago Today

Friday 27th of November 1942
Guitarist and singer-songwriter Jimi James Marshall Hendrix is born as Johnny Allen Hendrix in Seattle, Washington, United States.
He moved to England 10 years ago. Marshall's music is composed of all his songs and he has won many awards for his work. In 1982 on an episode of "Jimi's Garage", he created the first original live album, "Jimi's Garage", which went on to be the first full length studio album and first album to be released in the United States. He also helped lead the production of many of the songs in a variety of different styles and produced many of the songs with his own vision. He started playing in the studio with the vocalist and later the acoustic organist in the band The Big Show, and is frequently seen in his band, Pink Pea, with Jimi and guitarist Bob Kelly in particular. Marshall is survived by his mom, and by his siblings, Betty Marshall and Jimi, and family, and and by his seven dogs.
Jimi is preceded in the song "Johnny Allen", with the line: Jimi: it's about you and me and my kids. Jimi sings: "Oh my gosh! I don't wanna be in front of your camera! How could you think this would be so boring! I'm really gonna love making this little shit of you!"
