33 Years Ago Today She Cried When He Died

Friday 3rd of February 1989
Actor and film director John Nicholas Cassavetes dies of cirrhosis of the liver at the age of 60 in Los Angeles, California, United States. Nolan Cassavetes was born John Nicholas Cassavetes on October 11, 1933, in Lake Mead, Nevada, USA in a small farming community on the Nevada prairie. He grew up in a house that has been in use for thousands of years. Although a very modest boy by nature, he had the most fun and curiosity regarding his surroundings. He was a wonderful teacher who, in his spare time, would help him become a true professional boxer. When his junior school year was over, Cassavetes was assigned to the United States District Attorneys' Office at Las Vegas and went to an all-girls high school in Las Vegas, Nevada. On his way there, his father was beaten up. As his father's schoolboy boxer, he learned so much about boxing over the years that many found his role to be quite entertaining. In 1967, at 34 years old, he returned to Las Vegas where he played a major role in promoting the success of boxing through his own videos, videos of others boxing, and videos of a great many other athletes who also attended Las Vegas school and had success with the sport. His final victory in 1993 was at the 1992 Summer Olympics. Pressed on the role of trainer.
