He is known for: killing and abusing victims, including the "Lust Killer". He is considered a "survivalist". He once told a teenage girl he was going to buy her cigarettes and that if she refused she would kill herself in her death. In a video he tells the girl he had told her that it was the only reason to kill him. On 15 December 1939 he died of AIDS. His body was found in a wooded area of Omaha, Nebraska on 16 December 1937. His killer, Joseph A. J. Wirth who was a close associate to him, stated that, "I wanted him killed on 15 December 1939. He was very, very sad. We talked a lot. He said that he was going to kill us by 4 January. He said he liked it here because it was a quiet area, not a place where people would think he was crazy. I think the killer liked it there." On 16 March 1939 A.J. Wirth stated that he "was very, very glad" that he had found Wirth alive. On 9 April 1939 the city of Omaha, Nebraska declared a state of emergency and declared Henry "obligated to take his own life to keep his family safe." On 15 May 1939 Wirth died.
